Wife and I, plus two boys (15-17). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Steve,
I took a September Hawaii cruise on the Wind. If you have not already done so, you might want to check the detailed review at our main CruiseReviews site.
http://www.cruisereviews.com/Norwegi...gianWind10.htm
If you have any more questions after reading the review, I will be more than happy to answer them.
Nancy

Steve - I haven't taken her to Hawaii, but I took the Wind to the Western Caribbean last Thanksgiving.

Small tips - (1) the service and atmosphere in the Four Seasons dining room is much better than the Terrace (2) check expiration dates on items in the buffet if available, I had a yogurt for breakfast that was almost a year past its date (3) store your suitcases under the beds, they are just high enough (4) go to the workout room at off-peak times because it is very small and usually full.

I had a great time on this ship even though it does show wear and tear. The service is good and Norwegian has great adventurous shore excursions - I suggest booking them before you leave for the cruise to avoid the long lines and many sell out quickly.

We are doing the Wind in September - - does anyone know if there are laundry/ironing facilities for the guests? I don't mean the ship laundry, I mean laundry rooms like we had on HAL and Carnival.

susanmaz - these services were not available when we were on the Wind in November, 2003. We just made sure to hang up everything to prevent wrinkles, brought wrinkle remover spray and a small package of laundry detergent (make sure you put these items in a plastic bag because our wrinkle remover bottle leaked). We did some laudry in the bathroom sink and it worked great.
