It seems like no matter how many lists I make, no matter how early I start getting stuff together, there's always something I forget. Or, there's something I pack too little of, or too much of. Anything that you guys find essential that you've forgotten in the past, and have vowed never to leave behind again?

Well, there is always something left behind... but I have never forgotten something I couldn't pick up on the ship or something I couldn't live without. If we took everything we ever thought we could use on a cruise, we would need a moving truck to carry it all... pack lite.
aloe for sunburn. My husband and I went on our first cruise last summer. It is was cool when we were at sea that we didnt notice how burned my husband got when we were laying in the sun. The aloe was very expensive but needed because my husband was hurting!!!!
Actually, Gary, our last cruise to Mexico did NOT have AA or AAA batteries ~ they had batteries for every type of new camera around, but not for our older 35mm. We had to buy them in a grocery store in Loreto. So, Courtney - definitely bring extra batteries for your camera. Also - the eyeglass repair kit . . If not for you, then everyone else who will think you're Einstein for thinking of it.
