I am familiar with the rules on RCL about bringing alcohol onto the ship from ANY port for use during the cruise itself. I have a friend going on an NCL cruise, and she asked if the rules were the same on NCL as RCL. Having never been on an NCL cruise, I thought this forum would be able to answer for me.

NCL doesn't explicitly state its rules, other than that no intoxicating beverages can be brought on board. Yet, that's not entirely true. I'll have to pull out my documents, yet I remember that when boarding the ship initially, you can bring a couple of bottles of wine IF it is in a carry-on, you declare it during embarkation, and pay a corkage fee at the terminal. At ports of call (which is your question) they follow the same rules as the others--that is, they will hold the bottles and return them to you at some point prior to disembarkation.
