pride of america ship

while overnight in the ports of maui and kauai I would like to hire a car for 1 day.Is this easily done from the port area and is driving difficult in these islands

I sailed around Hawaii twice, but not on Pride of America. When I did it, it was very easy to rent a car in any of the ports. In fact, representatives from a car rental company came onboard the ship, and folks were filling out the forms in the show lounge, and then picking up their cars when they got off the ship.

I suspect the process is just as easy now, but wait to hear from someone who has sailed your ship to confirm.
