24-Hour Pizza Delivery Coming To All Norwegian Ships

If you get the munchies at 2am, you will soon be able to order a pizza delivered to your cabin on all Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Of course it will cost you extra! $5 per pizza. Press Release

It isn't apparent in the press release but the $3.95 surcharge for late night room service is also new.

I commented on that release. Most ships will give you slices for free, and Princess will give you a whole pizza without charge, but they're not 16". I know Ron and I could not eat a 16" pizza by ourselves. $5 isn't bad, but I'm confused why they're doing this. The Sky and Epic had places you could get slices for free. I guess, maybe for a family?

Is the $3.95 in addition to the $5.00 for the pizza, and does it include the gratuity?

Here is another scenario: say it is 1am and you want a pizza and a sandwich. That would incur both the $5 pizza fee and the $3.95 room service fee.

If you want just a pizza you only pay the $5.

I read the press release you gave a link to & part of it said

"We wanted to make it easy and convenient for our guests to enjoy a delicious pizza any time on our ships, whether it’s during a game of bowling, watching a movie in the Atrium or in the comfort of their stateroom"

So there you are in the theatre enjoying watching a show or as the above says watching a movie and then you here someone calling " Pizza for Mr Brown " and suddenly the event is ruined because the person sitting next to you " Mr Brown " starts munching on his 16" pizza

I think maybe certain areas at certain times should be barred from the 24/7 pizza service or is it just that I'm starting to be a grumbling whinger (LOL )

That would be annoying! I can see it in the bars on the ships but certainly not in the shows. I hate it when the bar waiters are still delivering drinks after the big shows start, but at least they try to be discrete.
