NCL posts weather alerts and itinerary changes on its home page, Norwegian Cruise Line - then click on the yellow icon on the left marked "Weather Alert."
To keep this more manageable, we will post only major changes. For minor itinerary changes (such as cancellations of tender ports), we ask that you consult NCL's page.
The only cruise, so far, affected significantly by Hurricane Irene is Norwegian Gem. Please see above link.
Cruisers embarking on Norwegian Gem or Norwegian Jewel out of NYC this weekend, please see the above link for important information regarding changes to embarkation dates and/or times.
I'm leaving on the Gem today and eyeing the progress of Hurricane Katia. Sure hope we're going to Bermuda as planned and not the backup (gulp, Canada, I think). But we're going with the flow. The known risks of cruising during hurricane season! A day on a ship is always better than a day of land. Have a good one, guys!
