We're waiting for the NCL Star to begin cruising out of NYC in 2012 when We'll be taking her to Bermuda in October 2012.....We are very much looking forward to seeing her again as We've not enjoyed her amenities since cruising Alaska several years ago!! She is a fine ship and one of the first real pioneers of "Freestyle"Cruising. Her recently added new features makes her all the more appealing!!
Dave......I had the case of Moosehead from St. John, The Pusser's Rum from Tortola and the Gosling's rum from Bermuda to Light My fires and keep me well lit thruout the outages! The thought of the upcoming cruise on the NCL Sky and a chance to replenish my supply of Nassau Royale enabled me to courageously persevere ....Thruout the ordeal I truly kept thinking..."It's Better In the Bahamas"!!!
Given your military background I have no doubt the power outage was just a minor inconvenience.
As I told my wife when sending her and our son off to her mom's house when our power was out after the tornado outbreak down here last April - 'I have ice, rum, coke, charcoal, and a freezer full of meat to cook or toss. I'll be fine.'
Penny.....We are eyeing the NCL Breakaway sailing schedule closely....Living close to NYC is convenient for Us and leaving from NYC is a real snap....still ....We have some European Cruise Plans and some Pacific Crossings coming up in the 2013/2014 time frame!(They have been on the Back Burner for a few years and they appear to be coming to fruition). Squeezing in the NCL Breakaway during her inaugural season would be tight......but....We are quite flexible ...any idea when You're interested??
