Banking/ATM's on the Jewel

When my husband and I went on our last cruise it was with Carnival and they had an ATM. I'm sure all ships have them, but can someone confirm that there is an ATM on the Norwegian Jewel.

They all have an ATM. Whether it is always operable is another thing since it requires a satellite signal to process a transaction.

Thanks, I assumed that they all would have ATM's, but you never know. I didn't want to be bothered with the risk of taking cash. If I need cash for the casino or shopping at least I know it's available. I guess the only concern I would have is making sure I get cash out fast before it runs out!

Really? I always bring cash and have used a ship's ATM maybe twice in my cruising history. Remember that the guest relations desk and the casino office can also do this, although the casino might charge a fee depending on the cruise line.

I totally agree with Dave comments. We have never used these machines on the ship. We always bring cash and put it in the safe. Also we bring travellers cheques just for backup and get them cash at the customer service desk. We refuse to pay the high service fees that these ATM companies take out of your account.

I really appreciate the information. I think I'll do the travellers cheques and cash for back up. I don't want to get stuck not having cash on me, and although my bank doesn't charge me for using other ATM's, I will still be charge the fee and it is high. Thanks everyone!

I'm almost certain that the ATM on the Jewel is conveniently located just outside the casino. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
