I am planning a cruise October 2013 that includes some time before the cruise in Rome. We are planning on going to the Vatican one day. I have read old posts about the Scavi tours. Are these still in existence? Also, I have read about Dark Rome tours that state that they are the only ones that can go early and further than others. Any experience with these items? We have almost a year to plan ahead and I want to allow us the deepest exploration of the Vatican that we can get. Any help would be appreciated.
