best way to get to the airport after cruising

Was wondering the best way to get to the airport in New York after our cruise, did see supershuttle which is very reasonable to use, but not sure how that would work since no one has any idea how long it will take to disembark, and also how one would even find a there shuttle withe 2500 ppl getting off the ship. lol

The SuperShuttle people will let you know where to find them. They do this several times a week, so they're experienced with locating passengers after a cruise.
