Smile NCL Spirit.....Small and Mighty
In Europe and just off the NCL Spirit from a cruise to Madeira, the Canaries, Morocco and Malaga!! The NCL Spirit may be the oldest and the smallest of the NCL Fleet but she is in nearly perfect shape and shows few (if any) signs of her age...they have kept her in 1st class condition and it is only the lack of some of the newest cruising bells and whistles that betrays her age...she seems to be ageless and is an absolute delight to both her wonderful crew and their passengers!!!

For those of us older and more experienced cruisers, she represents a delightful return to the cruising style and comforts of an earlier generation......in style of decor, cruise style and offerings, in how she rides the seas...she is the closest thing I've seen to the Holland-America cruise style at a far more affordable price! Those cruisers wishing to re-experience a real cruise ship would do well to sail upon her.....She has all the elements of a classic beauty.......Comfy Size, Style, Great Dining, an Excellent Cruise Director (Gio)......and some of the best passenger care in the NCL Fleet!!

We have cruised upon her 3 times now and when she returns to Port Canaveral next year...We'll do so again....best of all....the smoke in the Casino is well handled...partly because of her design and partly because the new NCL smoking restrictions are enforced. Keep her in mind when You plan Your 2015 cruising out of a Florida port!! You might just fall in love with cruising all over again!!

Thanks for the report, Billy. I didn't realize Norwegian Spirit was coming to Florida next year. With all the hype lately for new vessels it's easy to forget a 16 year old veteran cruise ship.
