I cream is not available 24/7 like on Carnival i'm sure? Is there a charge for the ice cream?

They have hand dipped ice-cream on deck 12 but they also have soft serve (usually self-serve) ice cream inside the buffet in two different stations.

It's all free--(well - included in the price of your cruise).

the Jewel is by far the best price out there. I asked my PVP at Carnival if she could meet the price. I have not heard from her. I am going to book the Jewel if Carnival can't or won't meet the prive. Viet

Does the Jewel have a formal and semi formal night? If so do they also have a captains party? Do they have a night that they serve lobster?? Thanks Viet

They do have "dress up or not" nights -- usually two on a seven night cruise. Some people dress up, others don't. They serve lobster in the main dining rooms at least once during the week. I'm not sure if it's twice. It's part of a seafood plate, I think.

I don't know about a captain's party. There are usually gatherings for past cruisers -- more of a cocktail hour, with the captain and other officers.

To add to Judy's post, I believe that lobster tail is also served in Le Bistro as part of a surf-and-turf meal. This is extra-cost, though, whereas the main dining rooms are no charge.

We booked the Jewel for the spring. I am amazed at the price. They are by far thye best bargain out there . I am platinum with Carnival but the price was so much better with NCL I coulod not resist. Thanks for all the help I have recieved. Viet
