Cruising on the NCL Jade soon. Can we walk from port into Monte Carlo? If so, how long is the walk. If not, are there taxis/public transportation available at the port?

We were tendered to the port of Monte Carlo. We were on Crown Princess. We then walked off the pier and proceeded to walk to the elevators. They got these elevators that take you up several different levels of streets and then we walked to the Palace and then took a bus ride maybe five minutes drive to the Casino and we walked all the way back maybe 45 minutes. It was down hill so it was fine. Practice your French. Very french there.

When is your cruise? I'm heading there soon on NCL and can let you know when I get back.

LisaP: What did you find out about where the Jade docks in Monte Carlo? I will be on the Jade's June 13 sailing and need to make plans to meet a driver, so I need to find out where and when we debark. The NCL representative can't seem to answer my questions!

We docked at the Port of Monte Carlo, pier name Cambiasso & Risso 7 on Rue du Gabian.

dispiller, we did a ship tour so got on a bus at the pier, yet getting into Monte Carlo is walkable if you're in good shape. There's a boardwalk along the water's edge that we enjoyed. Just know that once you cross the street into the city, there are steep hills, as well as sharp curves that drivers tend to speed around, so be careful. There are also elevators that take you up to the Palace.
