FYI - If you're cruising on NCL's Spirit out of Boston, try to check in before 2:00PM. The USCG calls for the ship report around 2:30PM which means check-in stops and guests are waiting in line at the terminal for about 20 minutes or longer.

Also, a Public Health Questionaire must be completed for each cabin and handed to the pier agent at check in. Fill it out while your in line so you can just hand it to the agent and get on board quicker.

The public health questionnaire must be something new because of the Swine Flu.

I did the public health questionaires on my last three NCL cruises out of NYC since Sept.20 . I think it has become their SOP!

There have been school closures in the Boston area due to "swine flu hysteria." Did they just add a couple of questions to the existing questionnaire that covers norovirus symptoms? (Which are, pretty much the same.)

We have filled out the public health questionaires on our last three cruises two out of Seattle and one out of LA, two of the three on NCL with another NCL cruise coming in July. I am not sure if they changed or added any questions since our last cruised. I think most lines have the questionaires.

The health questionaire is standard for NCL. Friday seem to go faster. The USCG called for the report at 2:45PM and there were only 20 people in line that had to wait until the report was completed. Friday turned out better than expected.

Suggest that if someone is diabetic or has low blood sugar, to please bring what you need when traveling. You don't know how long you'll be in the terminal and there is no place in the terminal to get something to eat except the vending machines outside. Last week two passengers with low blood sugar were not prepared. Luckily we had orange juice.

When going on vacation, forget your troubles but don't forget your needs.
