Star Cruises sells Valuair fly-sail packages

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Star Cruises launched its first air-inclusive cruise packages with low-cost carrier Valuair.

Star Cruises took an equity stake in the Singapore-based carrier in December.

Passengers can fly from Singapore to Bangkok on Valuair and cruise back to Singapore aboard the SuperStar Virgo, stopping at Ko Samui, the Thai beach resort, on the way.

For the Thailand market, passengers fly in and out of Singapore on board Valuair and cruise roundtrip, calling in Penang, Malaysia, and Phuket, Thailand, or in Kuala Lumpur.
