Can anyone tell me whether you can store your luggage post-cruise at the San Pedro Cruise terminal. We are not flying out of L.A. until 10.15pm and do not want to hang about the airport all day.

The terminal has zero storage facilities. Your best bet would be to take a taxi to a nearby hotel, check your bags with the bell captain, and then spend the day touring (or what ever you want to do). If you decide to make your way up to LAX, check in with one of the hotels by the airport that offers a shuttle to your sirline when you want to depart.
Moya, I am not sure what is being offered on your specific cruise, but usually the cruise ship offers a sightseeing package post-cruise through shore excursions. In most cases these trips include luggage storage and transport to the airport, but are only available to guests who have late departing flights (as yours is). Just another thought -

Nucruiser,
why don't you just do a search at mapquest.com.? You can type in your address as the starting point and then the cruise port as your destination and you will get point to point directions.
