Balcony room - Norwegian Star

Anyone have any idea what floor, aft or port we should be looking at if we wish to book a balcony room that gets maximum exposure to sun?? We're doing a Southern Caribbean cruise in October. Also we have a friend who need "dark" to sleep. Do the balcony window curtains do the trick??? (Sorry, I promised I'd ask) Also, any fab tours out there???

Hi diablo, port or starboard won't make much difference. You'll either have sun early morning or late evening, but all the time during the day. The curtains are definitely sun blocking. Of course, if your friend really likes dark, an inside room is pitch black. You can't tell whether it's day or night. Not sure if any decks are covered balconies or not, I'm sure Cruise Fanatic or LisaP will know. Hope you have a marvelous cruise!
