I was on carnival Last year and was forced to use the community IRON (NOT GOOD). Someone please tell me of an experience or a good suggestion. Cruising on NCL JEWEL Jun 26,2010.

On another cruise line, they do not allow irons in staterooms because of a fire hazard. I don't know about Norwegian. You may want to check their policy on bringing irons on board.

Thanks so much.

We asked and they allowed us to bring an iron on the Spirit. I agree though that it is a fire hazard, so they probably shouldn't allow it. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_frown.gif

No, no, no, no personal irons. Fire at sea is something you NEVER want to experience, let alone cause. They do offer laundry services, for a fee. However, wrinkles are part of a cruise. Hanging your clothes in the bathroom while you take a hot shower will eliminate the majority of the wrinkles. Or you can bring a travel steamer if you'd like.

THANKS FOR ALL THIS INFORMATION I WILL TRY AND GET A STEAMER.

NO NO NO
Bring a can of Wrinkle Off...works great...and Nobody cares if you have wrinkles...on your clothes:-)... Bob E |
On our recent (two weeks ago) cruise on Norwegian Jade, there was a 50% off pressing special the first night. I don't know if this is available on all ships. If so, that's another option.
