Is this beach within walking distance from the ship? If we take a cab will they really come back and get us at the time we say? We would like to stay at the beach longer than 3 hrs as in the shore excursions. Has anyone done this? Thanks for your help.

I would definitely suggest you take a taxi to 7 mile beach from the pier. There are a number of hotels along the beach strip, so catching a cab back to the ship is no problem.
