The NCL Epic is certainly a unique enough design! I'll bet she'll have some unique handling characteristics due to the effects of windage upon her superstructure. No doubt there will not be any problems in identifying her from a distance!(or anywhere else-for that matter!)
It has been a long time since there has been a true "forecastle" on a passenger ship!
Sandy - The cabins look like fun, I like the variation in design. She appears to be offering many interesting dining and entertainment options - the "Ice Bar" being my favorite. Just like RCCL's "Oasis" the NCL "Epic" is going to be a different kind of an adventure. I, for one, look forward to the changes in cruise adventures, with enthusiasm!

That like describing a blind date to your buddy as "big boned but with a lovely personality". If they didn't have the protrusion up top, it would be a nice looking ship... but with it, it looks like a Beluga Whale. She is going to have to have a great personality...

Just off the NCL Sky and they have incorportaed the beds with rounded corners in the rooms. They were very nice, very firm and the rounded corners is a great idea, especially when walking around in the cabin. We had a balcony stateroom. I understand they will be the same type as on the new Epic.
