When we port in Malta, I've read that there is a 15 min walk up a steep hill to the city center? Is that true?
I was wondering, does NCL offer shuttle buses into the city center? And if so, where do these shuttles take off from and how long would it take via shuttle bus to the city center? Thanks so much.

I was on the GEM NCL a few months ago and Malta was one of our ports. No they do not offer a shuttle and yes the walk is 15 minutes from the ship to the bus terminal/town. Not a bad walk and no you are not UPHILL for 15 minutes. What I do remember seeing near the terminal was an offer of horse and buggies. Not sure what they were offereing as far as price or destination. I would guess town would certainly be offered. Malta is very nice and very friendly people. It is also very easy to get around by bus. Just map out where you want to go and get a bus schedule on line.
I was on the GEM in June this year. NCL does not offer a shuttle to the upper town. But you can take a taxi for about ten Euros (15 Dollars), so you do not need to walk the steps upside.
