Just wondering if anyone is changing their upcoming cruises because of war concerns. Also, has anyone heard anything from the cruise lines as far as what their plans are once the war starts? We are leaving on the Sun on 4/5 and are so looking forward to getting away from it all! But also a little apprehensive.
Will the travel insurance we purchased cover us if plans have to be changed? For example, if planes are grounded, etc. Maybe someone that cruised around the 9/11 timeframe can share their experience if their plans were altered. Thanks

Dana, check with your travel agent or cruise line to see if they have new policies regarding postponing travel due to war. A few do. If you booked your air through the cruise line, and flights are cancelled or changed, the cruise line should help you out; if you booked separately, then call your travel agent and also travel insurance company. Some insurance companies offer coverage for cancellation/travel delay due to terrorism, but almost none will cover cancellation due to just general concerns about being at war. My advice: continue with your plans, and enjoy your cruise!

We are scheduled on the Sun 3/22- spoke to NCL yesterday and at this point, no plans to cancel cruises. Although, the rep I spoke to said if they do not sail they will issue vouchers for a future date. 4 days to go!! Can't wait!!! Debbie
