A novice so excuse my ignorance when I ask - At restaurants that charge an extra surcharge, is that the only extra cost or is the price of the meal also additional?
|
Hi Cape townbear, and welcome to cruise-chat.com!
Generally, the surcharge includes the cost of the food. You'll pay extra for alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages other than tap water, iced tea, hot tea, or non-specialty coffees. In some restaurants, there will be an extra charge above the surcharge for some items. For instance, LeBistro offers (at least the last time I was there) a surf-and-turf option that included lobster that came with extra cost. Even so, there are plenty of options within the restaurants that do not require payment above the surcharge. |
Thanks LisaP - helps figure out the on board budget.

Rarely do I eat at one of the pay-for-restaurants....usually the meals at the regular restaurants are as good or better than what you will get at home:-)....but if it's in the budget, try one of the pay for places....But most of all, enjoy the cruise and then come back again......Happy sailing...
