How much money

Would you all recommend for an 8 night cruise and 4 nights in nyc. Lodging already paid in NYC. When I say money I just mean like random spending cash.

$800 for the cruise. $500 for NYC - assuming you are putting restaurants on a credit card.

Make sure you have plenty of small bills on hand for tips. Recipients would include bellhops and other baggage handlers (about $2 per bag in NYC), and the hotel maids (about $4-$5 per night). If you plan on taking taxis in NYC, note that not all of them accept credit cards, so be prepared.

How will you be setting up your shipboard account...do you plan to settle in cash, or have it put onto a credit card. This would also impact the amount of cash to have available.

We have a friends place to stay at, and she will probably cart us around sometimes, other times we will find alternate modes of transit. I was thinking 2000 dollars between the 2 of us. We will probably square up with card at the end of the cruise.

Well, two grand is more than the $1300 I suggested but more is usually better so I'd say go for it.

well ncl will charge you 10 dollars each a day for tips thats 160 off the bat careful with the drinks two strawberry rum mixs cost 18.40 un less you state you dont want the keepsake glasses which cost 3 dollars each a beer is 3.95 with 15% tip added not bad at all.the nice eateries are from 15 dollars to 20 dollars each and well worth it
