I normally schedule cruises well in advance. This time I am not sure if I can travel at the end of this month. I write to inquire if Norwegian drops the price as departure nears. I am traveling alone this time. Are there any considerations for going solo?
Hi Maurice, welcome to Cruise-Chat. The price will drop only if the ship is not full. The prices are usually quoted per person based on double occupancy. I've done a few solo cruises, HAL, NCL, and Carnival. I've found Carnival to have the best prices for a single. It never hurts to call the cruise line and check. Best wishes and hope you make a cruise soon!
We've booked 2 days before the ship has departed and always got a cut-rate...sometimes thru our TA...$299 with airfare from MN...so actually the cruise was free...if the cabin is empty, nobody is spending money on the ship:-)
And I think NCL has the double occupancy rule, so you would have to pay double...some ships go 1 1/2 times rate...Happy sailing....
