OK My wife and I are BRAND NEW at cruising. We are or a one week junket aboard the Pride of Aloha. What do I need to know? I want to get some liquor aboard and I understand that is a no-no, if I bring my scotch will I be sent down a gangplank?

What am I in for? What should I bring?

Not blind folded at least. There is a good chance it will be confiscated. You might get through. If you can stomach the idea, put it in a used water bottle (sorry, sounds terrible) and cap it tightly and put it in your luggage. There is Scotch on board as well as some good whiskey like Jameson.

I am just giving you a hard time, Scotch is great and a lot better than Bourbon in my opinion.

As far as other helpful ideas, the site is chock full of good stuff. Also check out the sister site, Cruise Reviews. There are links on the page but just in case you don't see them:

Have a great trip!
