We just completed a cruise on HAL Maasdam from Norfolk VA. Departure on Jan 20 was easy and professional.Return on Jan 31 was the worst we have ever experienced. Six hours late(not cruise line fault). However baggage hadling took almost three hours for disembarkation and having to pick-up bags out in the cold.The land staff was very helpful, but not enough porters. The ship process was much to slow. Knowing that due to very rough seas we were well behind schedule they could have handled disembarking better.
Norfolk Port is great but never again in January.
