Will be cruising from Honolulu on Rhapsody of the Seas next week and will be in Tahiti - Bora Bora Moorea and Raiatia and Papeete for a day in each port. We are experienced and keen snorkellers but the cost of the ships marine tours is out of our price range. Can anyone suggest good snorkel spots we can get to on our own or a cheaper altrnative. We will have our own gear.
Regards Sydney Sailor

Hi Sydney Sailor, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Sure wish I could help you with your excursions, but unfortunately, we've never been on that itinerary. I have talked with many that have and said the snorkeling and diving was superb. We normally stick to a ship's excursion for ports that we have not visited before. I would be willing to bet that there will be vendors in all of your stops offering different snorkeling tours. Best wishes and have a marvelous cruise!
