Miami hotels

We just booked a cruise on RCI (Explorer) for the week of 8/2. I have Hilton points I would like to use to book a hotel in Miami. Please let me know if you have any experience with the Miami Fountainebleau Hilton or the Doubletree Biscayne Bay-we are a couple traveling with our teenage daughter and teenage sonswill probably book adjoining rooms.

Hi,

We stayed at the Hilton Fountainebleau last time we were there. While it was a nice hotel, they put us in the old rooms, not the half moon tower. It was just ok. We had a great time though, the pool was huge. Right on the beach, not very close to anything else though. We had to drive everywhere.
