I am looking for a hotel that is very close to the cruise port. We are planning on flying in the day before the cruise and want to stay close to the ships....

Any ideas?

Why the need to stay so close to the piers? Your ship won't be there, and if you stay farther away you won't be caught up in the mobs of other cruise passengers who are staying in the hotels near the port. Last year we stayed in Coral Gables. We were the only people at the hotel door when we departed for the ship and our ride was maybe 20 minutes.

This year we are staying at the airport Hilton. Same theory as last year. Most of the hotel guests will be heading back to the airport in the morning.

need a vacation, two reliable resources that were recommended to our family and we have used with much success are... www.Hotels.com and www.Tripadvisor.com The hotels are rated by past guests and reviews are on-line for you to view. Every detail is listed regarding the hotel, i.e., parking, continental breakfast, distance from attractions, even if a hair dryer is in the room, etc. We found both sites to be very helpful to us when making our out of town arrangements. Good luck !

need a vacation, I might also add, room cleanliness(most importantly), and friendliness of staff will also be found on the reviews as well. These sites are quite informative and enlightening.
