Mexican Cruise ports of call

We are trying to book some excursions for our April Mexican Riveria cruise. We are hoping someone can assist us in making those decisions from their own experience without wasting a day on our trip doing something that was not worth the time, effort and cost. Thanks for your help!

on the Mexican Riveria trip, NCL's ports of call are Alcapoco, Xtapa, Porta Valarta, and Los Cabos. Not sure about these spellings! Sorry. Thanks. Teaki

Los Cabos is beautiful. You will see why the stars have homes here. The rock formations with seals sunbathing on them are phenomenal. Bring your binocs for them and for the whales!! That's a must! We snorkeled. The reefs were so-so. It's just okay. Not as clear and remarkable as the Caribbean, i.e. Belize or Cozumel. The water is a nice blue. But, again, not like the Caribbean. It's a rich port. Not much bartering on goods. You'll have better success in P.V. with silver and such. I cannot offer you any advice on other ports as they were not in our itinerary on Pride 2 weeks ago. Have a great trip!

In Acapulco we booked a tour with Rosie it was a good tour & the more people you have the cheaper the price ...she can take 12-14 people and will go where ever you want ..we left it up to her for the most part.

Cabo we booked a private tour through www.cabosanlucastours.net but you have to pay upfront...you can get tours at the docks after you run the gambit of jewelry/whistle vendors

Last time in Acapulco, we decided to try out the Shotover Jet boat ride. The boat ride is a ton of fun and similar to the the Shotovers in New Zealand, Fiji and Cancun. What is great is that there is a 45min bus ride to the river and it is a great opportunity to see the beautiful countryside as well as some unique inner city sites.
Zihuatanejo (Ixtapa)is a quaint fishing village with some great little shopping places. Walk through the back streets of the shopping area to find so great souvenirs and don't forget to barter for everything' in Mexico
