Hi ChadS, welcome to Cruise-Chat. How long are you going to be in Key West. Normally, they have 1/2 day charters. I googled Key West fishing charters and got 302K hits. Make sure when you're arranging one to let them know you're on a cruise ship and what time you need to be back to the ship. For example, if you're departing Key West at 5pm, you'll have to be back on board no later than 4:30pm.

The last fishing expedition I went on down there was on a land vacation. We went out on a drift fishing boat and it was an all day excursion.

We arrive at 8:00am and depart at 5:00pm. Is 300.00 avarage for 2 people to fish for 4 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions for what type of fishing. We have never been fishing in the ocean before, but we are looking for a great time.

Actually, that's pretty cheap. Charter captains will know what is running (fish) and where the best chances of catching something is. They also have some amazing equiment on board to locate fish. Tarpon, Barracuda, Sail, and Snook are some great game fish. Snapper, Tuna, and Mahi-Mahi are great eating. However, you'd probably have to pay for shipping your fish back home. They wouldn't let you bring it back on board with you. I don't know if Cap'n Jack is still fishing or not, but he was a good captain. They're all really good, though. Most of them have grown up fishing the waters.
