still not sure--King's Wharf?

I have heard mixed comments on Kings Wharf. Some say it is totally boring and nothing to do and others say that it's a quick water trip over to Hamilton. Also, I've heard that there are beaches right at Kings Wharf. ANY HELP that anyone else could add, I'd truly appreciate it. I cannot locate another Bermuda cruise short of the Celebrity Zenith that goes to Hamilton (unless I want to go for more than 7 days), and the Zenith has NO BALCONY cabins which is a huge deal for us! I wish my friend that lives in Bermuda was still here, however, she's already left to go back to Bermuda. Since the island is not that large, I cannot imagine that it would take long to get anywhere. Check out this web site:

You might want to check out our sister site Port Reviews, there is very specific information about King's Wharf: http://www.bermudaportreviews.com/KingsWharf.htm I have been there often and just returned a couple of week's ago from a cruise on the Costa Magica. There is a beach at King's Wharf but it is definitely not the soft pink sand beach we equate with Bermuda, but a rocky beach good for snorkeling. King's Wharf is on the very eastern tip of the island and the best way to get to the other parts of the island is to take one of the regularly scheduled ferries or buses. You can purchase a 1 day pass for $12 or a 3 day pass for $28. The pass allows unlimited use of all ferries and buses and is a great bargain compared to taxi fares.

We're going to Bermuda in July and I've been checking out a lot of web sites.
If you like to shop or are into shipwrecks, then there's things to do there. There is also Dolphin Quest where you can interact with the dolphins. Personally, I plan to take a ferry boat to Hamilton and visit some of the historical sites in the down. I've downloaded the walking tour from Frommer's web site. There is some enjoyable shopping in Hamilton also. My friends enjoy the beach and will be heading to Horseshoe Bay to enjoy the pink beaches. Personally, I didn't find any of the ship tours interesting, so I'll be doing this on my own.
