i voted good, but it shows good/bad. i assumed wrong. shore excursions are expensive in my opinion, and nicer trips can be found off the ship. but with 2 children, i think i would do the tryed and true for safety sake, and go with cruse line.
In Grand Cayman, I highly recommend Native Way Watersports. They will take you to Stingray City to play with the Stingrays, and to a coral reef for snorkeling. You will have far fewer people on their boat than the one you can book through your ship, and will also pay less for the tour. You can find them at http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/
Did anyone ever give you any suggestions for shore excursions not booked through the cruiseline? I am doing the same trip and have
two young children (6 and 9). We are on the more adventuresome side and want to try some different types of excursions but don't want to rob the bank inorder to afford them. Any suggestions? Belize/Cozumel/Grand Cayman/Roatan
