Travel from Miami or Tampa airports to cruise ports

Hi All,
Trying to do some preplanning for a Nov/Dec cruise out of Miami or Tampa. I will be making my own flight reservations and wanted to find out what transportation is available to the cruise ports from either Tampa or Miami airports. Approximate how far are the ports from the airports? How much can i expect to pay for a taxi? Is there better transportation other that taxi's. Thanks.

Both airports are close to the port, with Tampa being a little closer and very easy to get to. There is a shuttle service I used from Tampa (I think it was $8 pp). Can't remember the name of the company but I found them from the Tampa airport website.
