We always stay at the Inter-Continental. It has great views of the port and is next to Bayside which offers multiple restaurants and entertainment opportunities. A little pricey, but worth the money.

We just got back from cruising on the RLC and stayed the night before at the Port of Miamia Holiday Inn....although it wasn't fancy it was perfect. Right accross the street was the "Bayside" which was full of store with great deals, resteraunts i.e. hooters, hardrock, and they also had a band at night by the water...shore excurisions.. It was awesome, I would stay there again next time... It was only about $100/night. And you could see the ship....I think the cab was $10...

We stayed at the Summerfield Suites last year. It's not super luxurious, but lots of room to spread out (1 or 2 bedrooms), and inexpensive shuttle to the Port
