Going to MEXICO in March 2003

We're going to the Mexican Rivearia in March. We'll be on the STAR Princess and our stops will be Pt. Vallarta, Mazatlan then Cabo San Lucas.
We would like suggestions on things to do there and the best places to buy jelewry and stuff. Also, where to stay clear of. Plan a "discover dive" in Cabo. This is our 5 cruise - first time to Mexico - Please help!!

I took this trip in Oct 2002 on the Golden. Very enjoyable! I found some jewelry, Jade, in Puerto Vallarta at a shop called Jades Maya. All price ranges from inexpensive to priceless were available and the staff there were very accommodating. The shop is about 4-5 blocks off the main shopping, although just a good walk, and worth the effort. I also bought silver at a shop called Pancho's in Zihutanejo. Good buys! Silver is every where, just watch for the quality mark and bargain. Have fun.
