About two years ago we went to Freeport Bahamas. The grocery stores there were quite expensive. My question is, Are the locals charged the same thing as the tourist? Some of the locals seemed unemployed. If they are charged the same thing, How can they afford it?
Hi "P", the locals are charged the same as tourists. I don't know if they have some type of welfare system in Freeport or not. I would assume a lot of the locals, grow their own and fish.
