Best excursions/and or beaches in Bahamas

We are traveling with a group of 10 to Bahamas in Oct. Can someone tell me the best excursions for Bahamas and the best beaches there. Thanks

We did the Yellow Bird Boat trip to an island...
The island looks great as you approach it but there is nothing there except a volley ball net and a grill. The beach wasn't nice at all. Depending on the crowd is what makes the trip back to the ship fun and ours was just ok.

One of the best excusions I have found in Nassau is the Flying Cloud catamaran snorkeling trip to Rose Island.

As for beaches, there are 2 that offer the best in the way of facilities, activities, amenities and beautiful stretches of sand. Cable Beach is a 4 mile stretch of beach on the main island that lies in front of the resort strip. Cabbage Beach is a 2 mile long beach on Paradise Island (take the water taxi or cab over the bridge).
