Brooklyn Terminal

Has anyone left out of this terminal? What is it like. Last time I left out of NYC it was out of the Manhattan terminal. What say you fellow cruisers!>?

Guess no one has gone out of the Brooklyn terminal yet.

I personally haven't sailed from Brooklyn, but from what I understand it is a big improvement over Manhattan.

The big drawback that Brooklyn has over Manhattan is a shortage of mass transit options nearby, and from what I hear a cruise line transfer is highly recommended

We left from the Brooklyn terminal May 2006. The facility was clean and well organized. The Statue of Liberty and the city skyline were awsome - a very nice start to our transatlantic cruise.

If the Brooklyn Terminal is cleaner, etc., why don't more travelers utilize it? The Manhattan Terminal is crazy on the West Side Highway. It would ease up congestion if they pulled more ships over to the Brooklyn Terminal. It's not that far way and you see the same scenery departing. Maybe it's time for N.J. to put in a port.
