One Day in Miami

Hello everyone,
we have a full day in Miami before our cruise. We also get a car with our hotel stay so we are quite mobile.
Are there any must sees in MIA and surroundings?
We are 2 adults and 2 kids (8,11)

South Beach, Crandon Park Zoo, Villa Viscaya, the Seaquarium, just to mention a few. What do you enjoy doing. South Beach is great, it used to be the ghetto area, but they've really cleaned it up lots of shops, restaurants, old hotels, etc. It's a fun place to visit.

i was thinking of parrot jungle island, but it looks a little pricey.
Also Everglade Alligator farm in Forida city (45 min drive).
Has anyone been there before?

I took a drive to an alligator farm in the everglades back in 2001, and I must say it was really worth the trip

But so is South beach, although if you have already rented a car it might be more convenient to go somewhere outside the city. Then key biscayne or as mentioned the everglades might be good alternatives.
