Kings Wharf Bermuda: Waste of a port of call?

There is nothing to see but shops at Kings Wharf. TAKE A LOOK BEFORE THE BOARD THE SHIP AFTER THE BEACH.
Bus to Elbow beach is good but takes time - take a cab back. to the right of elbow beach there is a path which I took which takes you to lovely little coves, very private, each one is so different.......... I am not a hiker and it wasn't difficult. I would head there first if you want atmosphere. then walk back and sit at the large beach to the right of Elbow Beach. I can't wait to get back there again.

I realize this is an old thread... yet I'd like to point out that there is a marvelous Maritime Museum at King's Wharf, for those (like me), who are into history.

Yet, if you will be in Bermuda for just a day, the best way to get to the beaches is how Nancy described, above.

Lucy, I know the path you talk of...it is simply beautiful. And then the beach opens up in front of you... wow! (And, welcome to cruise-chat!)

I really didnt like Kings wharf that much. We just wondered around really. Kinda boring, butI dont think its a waste at all.

and also, is there a specific area where the water is calmer than the others?
