We have just reconfirmed, with much difficulty, that if you are sailing in or out of Santiago, Chile, that they will collect $100 per person in US cash. This has been in effect for about a year, but some cruise lines are not notifying people at all. We are sailing on Celebrity Infinity February 1st, and it came to our attention when the travel agent booked on Princess, and was told right up front. Just so everyone will be warned ahead of time. Big money for Chile with all the ships going and coming from Santiago.

After more checking with airlines, etc. it's a reciprocity tax issued against US Citizens "ONLY", and only when they arrive by plane from the States. Talk about being discriminated against!!
