Hawaii excursions

Okay, Hawaii is coming closer and closer. In about 6 weeks we are onboard the Radiance sailing to Hawaii.

We have booked the following shore excursions:
Oahu: Circle Island Private Limo-Tour for 6 persons, including all the importing island spots

Kauai: private tour for 6 persons with Kalalau Lookout, Koke'e Park, Waimea Canyon , short walk on the Kukui-Trail , back to the coast, to Barking Sands beachpark in Kekaha. Drive through Hanapepe with stop in the Old Town and visit of Hanapepe Swinging Bridge and Koa Wood Gallery. Stop at Salt Pond Beach Park followed by Kauai Coffee Plantation Visitor Center. Drive to the Southcoast to Spouting Horn,Poipu along Poipu Beach Park and Poipu Crater Resort, stop at the Hyatt Regency 5 star Resort with "Shipwreck Beach". Drive through plantation Koloa and "Tree Tunnel and at the end destination Nawiliwili harbour with photostop at Menehune.

We have nothing booked for Maui and for Kailua Kona and looking for some interesting things in closer distance.
Uwe and I know all these islands, but our friends do not, but they don´t want to book a tour on every islands and, important, do only speak little or no english. Therefore, I booked two german tours.

So I would appreciate some comments and advices from all the Hawaii Lovers on this site.

We rented a car in Maui and spent the day exploring. There are shuttles to the car rental places at the airport waiting at the pier when you disembark. We found a botanical garden (sorry, can't tell you where - it was on a road....), and really enjoyed visiting AIO park. We went to one of the public beaches and had a lovely time there too. The Kapalua coast,incl. fantastic. Plantation Golf course is great. Maui Ocean Centre is a good visit too. The Volcano there is good and Hana Coastal drive is Awesome.

The cruise on the Radiance was wonderful. Weather on the Pacific was not really warm, only a few people were outside at the pool on the deckchairs.
Terrible weather in Hilo (but thats normal), really hot in Kailua Kona, mixed in Kauai and Oahu and warm in Maui.
Shore excorsions were excellent, made the right decisions. The private tours were the best, because I knew the tour guides/drivers and they both (on Oahu and Kauai) made a 8 1/2 hour tour for us and we saw places, you will normally not see with a big tour bus.
It will take some time, until my review will be ready. Just began with the german part and than it needs some time to translate it. As soon, as I´m ready, I will publish it.
