we are doing partial transit and would like to know a good tour for panama and costa rica. Also would like to do a beach day at curacau but would like to take a cab, Is there any beaches that any one knows of close by. Thanks

We cruised on the Jewel of the Seas to Panama and Costa Rica last month. We didn't take any excursions while visiting the Canal. We were happy to stay on the ship and snap hundreds of pictures of the locks and experience the thrill of actually being in the Panama Canal.

We have been to Costa Rica twice and love the rainforest. On our first trip there, we booked the excursion called "Tortuguero Canals". We booked it through the ship. It is a great tour. We liked it so much, we booked it again for our last cruise. We were not disappointed. We saw so much wildlife. Of course, the monkeys were our favorite!

Curacao is a beautiful, colorful island. There isn't a beach right next to the dock area, but plenty of shopping. A tour of the Curacao factory is fun, and we've done a couple of snorkel trips there that were good.
