Port Liberty transfer

Hello,

this October I will go on a cruise out of Port Liberty with the Voyager of the Seas. Unfortunately I could not get an adequate flight (from Europe) to Newark but JFK instead. Is there a reasonable transfer JFK-Port Liberty or can/should I better take a rental car?

Hi Reinhold,
A taxi from JFK to the Cape Liberty Port will run about $75. You might want to get a quote from City Express Limo - they are often less expensive than a taxi and you could pre-reserve your transportation.

Not sure I would want to try the rental car route. New York traffic can be brutal and being unfamiliar with the area - not an easy trek to the port.

so far, the quotes of City Express Limo were above the taxi fare. I think I will take a taxi.

Can anybody describe in detail the terminal at Port[sic](Cape) Liberty? I may get there somewhat before boarding time for the October 5 Celebrity cruise to New England/Canada.

Specifically, what are the waiting facialities prior to check in? Is food and (non alcoholic) drink available?
