car rentals near the port in Houston

We will fly into Dallas and rent a van (group of 7 including a couple 80some year olds) to drive to Houston. Our options are to return the car at Hobby Airport (the nearest airport to the port) and take taxis to the boat. Or get an Enterprise van and return to the office in Sea Port which is close to the boat. The Sea Port office is closed on Sundays so we'll get charged for an extra day until its checked in on Monday. The real problem is finding a rental car the following Sunday. All I have been able to find so far is the usual car rentals at the airport. Does any one know of a closer to the port car rental office that's open on a Sunday?

Thanks, I just checked and the Advantage in Webster is closed on Sat and Sun.

Take a look into Advantage. I am sure they are open on Sundays. You can pick up near Houston Bush and drop at a car dealership near Webster, I think it is a $15 drop fee. From there it should only be a minimal cab fare to the Port of Houston, perhaps $20. Check it out.

: Oops, must be a recent change. Let me know if you find an alternative as we will be going out of Houston in the New Year. I know you can drop from Houston Bush to Houston Hobby with a lot of the companies. Will be a slight reduction in cab fare.

Enterprise has a kiosk in the Ship Terminal, and it's Broadway, Galveston site is open 9-2 on Sundays! Check with: ENTERPRISE,
