Volcano side trip

Hi
we're doing a cruise in Hawaii this April and would like to do one of the tours to the volcano when in Hilo. Does anyone have any suggestion which tour as I see Carnival list 2 or 3 of them. Thanks for any info

When we were there we did the tour that went from Kona to Hilo and then to the volcano. It was a great tour, but long. I don't know why I didn't expect the volcano to stink, but I didn't and boy does it smell like sulfer. It was a great tour, however. I don't know if that is one that Carnival offers, since we were staying on the island, but it was a tour that included some beautiful water falls and gardens as well. Hope this helps a little.

RichC mentioned the same thing on his recent Hawaii cruise; he took the volcano tour from Kona and thought it was way too long.
dlboy, just see which one appeals to you the most--just be sure to do it from Hilo, not Knoa.
