port at Dubrovnik

Does anyone know if you can walk from the port in Dubrovnik, Croatia to the old city Dubrovnik?

you MAY stop offshore,,,like we did at first,,,and tender into old city,,,very convenient....some choose to walk,,,about 3 miles,,a guess,,but on small,busy street with no sidewalks,,,some ships have a shuttle....but a great town,,,you ll love it...can be busy in summer,,if you walk walls,,go early,,very hot and crowded...we only did half,,,too much stair climbing for me...enjoy

if thats Regent Voyager,,,we docked right near it,,,so not tender,,,also,,,city bus goes right by on regular basis,,,if no shuttle from ship,,or can take taxi,,,good luck,should be great weather in Oc.t,,,,not TOO hot...
