Must-sees and must-dos in Bermuda
Hi everyone! We're heading out next week for Bermuda (well, if the storms don't send us elsewhere!) and this will be our second time there.
Last time we were in between two hurricanes so we didn't end up doing much —*everywhere we got somewhere on a bus or ferry, it started raining. I'm not complaining; I understand the risks of booking during hurricane season and I really don't care about anything except getting on the ship and getting the heck out of dodge for a week. ;)
But just in case the rain stops for a few minutes ;) what would you suggest doing/seeing? We weren't really in love with any of the shore excursion options and we've been to Horseshoe Bay but since we only got to stay a few mins, I wouldn't be adverse to returning. :)
If worse comes to worse, I have no qualms about parking in the spa and on deck with a book and just kicking back, but I wouldn't mind seeing some of Bermuda if the chance arises. :)
I sure hope and pray you won't have any problems. I think the bus pass is still the best thing, you can see so much more of the island and the locals always have places to suggest. Horseshoe Bay is the only thing I remember since it was so long ago that I was there. I know there are many on the board that have been there more recently, though. I am praying with all my might that you have picture perfect weather while you are there!!!
I am not sure if they still have tours to the Bacardi factory but that might be an option
St George's is a good place to just wander
of course the beach
it all depends on where your interests lie
The good news is the bus driver's strike is over!
